Breakfast of Wheatens
I was inspired by the Blade's Pet Idol contest but was too late to enter. This is my sister-in-law's Wheaten Terrier who has retired from the show circuit. I could not resist the obvious tie-in.

I took this image of one of my seniors, Aaron Birney during the hockey season. I played around with the image and created this stylized look. Let me know what you think.
I was pleased to have one of my images chosen for the cover of the Do Toledo 2010 brochure this year! The image was taken around dusk last summer at a downtown event. Dusk is the "Golden Hour" for great light. I saw beautiful light coming down Madison Ave. from my vantage point at the Docks and captured a terrific image of the festivities on the river.
I just got back from the funeral of a dear friend of mine, Sandy Scott. Sandy left us way too soon. She was one of the most positive and couragous people that I have ever known. You can read Sandy's obituary at http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/toledoblade/obituary.aspx?n=sandra-valencic-scott&pid=138102514. Sandy left three beautiful children who attend elementary, Jr high, and high schools in Sylvania, Ohio. I would encourage everyone to make a contribution on Sandy's behalf to Sandra V. Scott's Children's Scholarship Fund at any Fifth/Third bank.
